Catalina

The owl looked out one dark moonless night,
eyes big and wide.
Winter's grip was strong and deep,
the sky thick and black.
In those round eyes
lay great wisdom,
inner powers deep within.
The night had its own strength and beauty,
its own wild mystery.
Feel the dark within you,
as the light shines on the other side.
Sleep and dream,
as the owl hoots out,
sitting still on the branch outside.
This black,
dark cold night.Posted by Picasa

I love your magical, mystical women, and the words that accompany them, Kat. The palette here is perfect for winter and yet there is a richness to it, too.
Thanks for your comment. You've given me a new idea for the courgette / zucchini - Risotto! Thankfully the crop seems to be slowing down a little now!
Janice.
