Gentle Moon

Your beauty shines bright,
we are all under your spell
I gaze at your light.

Hello to all, this old painting of mine has been waiting for a long time for a re-touch. Finally I touched up the gentle moon, she needed more color, I loved painting her soft face using water color pencils. Still this piece needed something more, Alex pointed out to me that maybe I could paint in some curtains. These dark blue folds around the picture add intimacy, I finished tonight by adding some charcoal to the curtains to accentuate the folds, I love the finished effect and I love caring for an old painting. The right time came to look after her and here she is all new and ready to show herself off to all!

Lovely, fun and a little bit mysterious, as it should! I think adding the curtains was a great idea, and they are beautifully done; rich and luxurious!
