The mist came rolling in from the lake,
One dark October's day.
Clutching her shawl
She gazed out feeling cold all over.
Hands like ice,
Her face ghostly white.
Children's cries of laughter and joy,
Running to town for Halloween treats.
Still she stood there in the mist staring out,
Twas Kathleen's ghost.....
Out again on Halloween.
Pale and white her eyes stared out at the lake,
Thinking back of days long gone,
She swayed in the wind.
When rain fell still she stood,
Glowing and staring through the rolling mist,
On Halloween night.
