Last Saturday I had some unleashed creative time. My little 2 year old was with my parents and I hadn't had a painting session for some time. With a little one around it's much easier to just journal and sketch quickly here and there. So I loved getting in a mess again, playing with color and having some fun.
It's a mixed media piece, full of warmth for the coming colder days to come!

Lovely, warm experimental collage. Looks like you had fun playing with colour and shapes.
Hello Kat, I missed that you had entered this for the Soartful patchwork challenge - it's just perfect for it, wouldn't it be lovely to see this on a bed on a cold night.
Very beautiful and warm...Sheila is right it would be perfect as a duvet on a bed!!
Happy ppf....glad you got a few moments of alone time to create!

Lovely Kat, such a spontaneous collage of colour.
Thanks for the warmth, it's really cold here, I am truly feeling it. xox

Some of my favorite colors. :) Love it!
It is always cherished time when you can create alone. Beautiful patchwork of warm colors. Lovely play.
It's so much fun to "play" with paints. It's not too easy to get messy with a 2 year in tow. You created a warm and fun piece of art.
Wonderful colours, they remind me of stained glass window, very beautiful effect!
Happy PPF

I love the richness of colors in this piece. Happy belated PPF!
love these bold colors, Kat! Yes, it's a bit more difficult to make time for yourself with small children, so i'm sure you appreciate the time to paint & play. Thanks for sharing. xox
