A Summer's Eve

Hello and here's wishing you all a great and creative week. This piece was done in my journal yesterday morning. We'd been round a second hand market and I came across a very old book, a little gem. I'll be able to use it in my art. I'll photocopy some of the pages and tea stain them. I love adding ephemera to my pieces, adding a little more texture and character to a piece. So we had our first real heat this week-end. I feel the colours in this reflect a summer's eve, of melted orange and pink light. The tree looks wintery, it's actually a mix of hot and cold like those hot desserts you get served with ice-cream. Today is chilly again, so hot and cold are quite in vogue lately. I'm rambling on here, wishing you all the best, enjoy your week!
